Sargent is partnering with The Efficiency Network to provide electricians, lineman and bucket trucks to install new LED streetlights for Duquesne Light Company’s Rural LED Streetlight Conversion Project.

The project consists of removing approximately 60,000 HPS streetlights and installing energy efficient, smart technology, LED streetlights on all rural roadways in Allegheny and Beaver Counties. These LED streetlights only consume a fraction of the power of their outdated predecessors and require very minimal maintenance. The new smart LED streetlights will have remote on, off, dimming and daylight sensing capabilities that can be preset or adjusted remotely from DLC streetlight headquarters. Sargent Electric is proud to be part of this project as it is a big step towards a more environmentally friendly streetlight system.
