Line Rehab 498-51 Tionesta #3Tidioute, PA

The Line Rehab 498-51 Tionesta #3 project is part of the Penelec LTIIP program with First Energy.  It called for the replacement of two 3-Pole Dead End structures, one on each side of a ravine crossing over a highway located in Tidioute, PA within the Allegheny National Forest. Hand digging was required for 8 anchors and 6 poles. An MD-500 helicopter was used to transport men, material, and tooling to both structure locations, and a Sikorsky S61N was used to install the poles. The existing wire was transferred.  This work required an outage and detailed coordination with FirstEnergy and our helicopter partners.
