Sargent Electric performed as the Prime Electrical Contractor on the project direct hiring 110+ electricians and self-performing the BESS construction consisting of the 34.5kV underground construction, the elaborate ground grid, below grade duct banks, the above grade battery cube assembly, the extensive DC power system, Aux Power, and all Fiber Optic communications. Sargent utilized their robust BIM Department Services and Prefabrication Services to successfully meet the schedule and our high-quality expectations. Due to issues relating to COVID-19 and subsequent permitting delays, the project was impacted with a significant delay. However, Sargent was able to accelerate the schedule and still maintain the initial energization date.
